The Final Leg

It's hard to believe that we are nearly on the last leg of our amazing month away. It has been absolutely amazing! Before we get to KL, we have an overnighter in Manila. Let's just say our flight to Manila took longer than expected. When we arrived in the city, we had problems getting a taxi. The first taxi we got, the driver got hassled by the police, so we decided to get out. Then we had issues getting another one as very few drivers wanted to bring us to our destination as it was only a short journey. 'Greedy' is the first word that comes to mine! When we did arrive at our accommodation, 'Lions Den Backpackers,' I fell into my bed!

The next day, another slightly longer flight to KL. This time, for once, our flight actually arrived on time! What's going on? A punctual plane? Surely not? At this stage, we should work for Air Asia. We know everything there is about flying and then some!

As we didn't have anywhere booked, we decided to make our way to our usual haunt 'The Reggae Mansion.' Luckily enough, they had room for us. Unfortunately the big, spacious dorm's that we have grown to love was fully booked so we had to settle for the smaller 8 bed room. At least we have somewhere to crash. Our only roommate, Sarah from Austria is really friendly! She seems like a really nice girl!

As we have done so much travelling over the last few weeks, we decided not to do very much while we were here. I think that suited Jason as the poor soldier was not feeling his usual bouncy, happy self. A nice lie in and a trip to the cinema is just what the doctor ordered!

Hard to believe that after months of planning, 'The Big Surprise' is coming to an end! It has been absolutely amazing. I have loved every minute of it! It surely was the best birthday (Sorry, 'Month') ever! Thank you my darling Jay.
