It's luckily that we decided against leaving early as it took us slightly longer than we anticipated. Not only did we have to catch one bus, we had to get three. The first one was really nice. It was luxury. We nearly had the whole bus to ourselves except for the random inspectors that would be constantly getting on and off the bus. At one stage we even had an army soldier board with a machine gun. You certainly wouldn't mess with him. They really take security very seriously over here which is great to see.
After arriving at our destination on the third bus, our journey was not complete. We then had to get a 'Habal driver' to bring us to our resort on the back of two bikes which was about 23KM away. It was a scary experience being on the back of a bike with all our luggage speeding through an unfamiliar place, late at night. I guess it's all part of the 'Big Adventure!'
Eventually we arrived at our resort 'Punta Isla Lake Resort.' As we arrived really late, we couldn't really do very much except get some dinner and watch a movie. So far, the resort seems really nice. A full tour of the area will have to wait until tomorrow.

Bright and early, we were up for breakfast and an absolutely crazy day on 'The Big Adventure.' It's a day my Jay Jay has waited a long time for. But will it smash any expectations he might have had? Will it be worth all the hassle of getting here and back? Can Jason's rather 'Cheeky smile' get any cheekier?
The only way we could get to the 'Seven Falls' is to hire two habal drivers for the day who will bring us there and act as our tour guides. My driver, Jo Jo, had a slightly bigger bike that was more of a motorbike than a scooter. I had a lot more room. It is such a really cool experience riding on the back of a motorbike. Definitely up there!
The time has come. We purchased our ticket and are currently being strapped in. With the final strap in place, I guess there is really no turning back. Let's just hope we are properly attached.
Thanks to Jason, I am now suspended from the ground attached to a 'Zip Line' with the only a few cables keeping us up. At first 'I was petrified.' All I can see is this long cable with a bit of a slope on it. The last thing I want is the feeling of free-falling. After getting myself together, I gave the single that I was finally ready.

'Oh My Good God! We are about six hundred meters off the ground flying through the sky as if we were Superman. One can't even come close to the feeling you get seeing how high up you are as you look down below, knowing that the only thing stopping you from falling is a cable line. It is by far the best adrenaline rush I have ever had. WOW, the views we had looking down of a landscape so green with stunning waterfalls with the majestic surge of water. One can't help but feel insignificant in the grand scheme of things. We are only a little drop with our presence felt for such a short period of time. For now, 'I AM KING OF THE WORLD!' When you arrive at the other side, you think you are going to crash as you are still going at such a fast speed. Then suddenly, you stop. What an incredible experience! Time now for the next ride back.

The area isn't just about a really cool Zip Line, even though that's what most people only come for. No, as the name would suggest, it's also about exploring the seven waterfalls the area has to offer. Let's just say there was a lot of intense hiking in order to see them with a lot of down-up, down-up, down-up! It was worth it. Such a stunning place. Seeing the waterfalls just made it for us.
Before we leave, we decided on another cheeky ride for the last time. Who is going to say no to being 'Superman?' I even managed to ride solo on my return, which as our lovely, Mad Cat Lady would put it, 'Amazeballs darling, amazeballs!' Oh what a feeling!

On the way back, we got our drivers to bring us to a small waterfall area where we could go for a swim. Even the ride there was an experience. Being on the back of motorbike driving along a very unstable wooden bridge and through a stream of water really added to our mind blowing day! A nice swim in cold but refreshing water was a good way to end an amazing day, especially sitting under the waterfall. Just what we needed.

Back at the resort, myself and Jason went for a bit of exploring before we decided on a bit of a food. Even though we were absolutely starving, we didn't care as we had so much adrenalin rushing through us, that food wasn't that important. Down by the lake there were nice areas where you can relax. There is even a floating restaurant with a barge attached by cables on either side which you pull in order to return the mainland.

After a bit of food, we both enjoyed some traditional music and dancing. The dancing was certainly more expressive than what I am use to. One of them included how a local boy and girl start 'Courting,' another one is based on the actions of a monkey. A lot more enjoyable than other traditional dances that we have seen!
To say that we have had an amazing time here is an understatement. To have that feeling to be 'Free and on top of the world,' now that is special!
